2015 North American EMu User Conference

2015 North American EMu User Conference

Hi all,

Axiell and the University of Pennsylvania Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology are pleased to invite you to the 9th North American EMu User Conference and NHSIG.  The NHSIG will take place on October 7, 2015 followed by the EMU User Conference October 8-9, 2015.  More details and registration will be announced later this Spring.

iDigBio is considering leading a half-day digitization workshop in the morning of October 7.  The regular NHSIG agenda, led by Axiell, would follow in the afternoon of October 7th.  iDigBio requests your input on potential workshop topics.  The information you provide will help iDigBio optimize the workshop for all participants as well as help them decide whether there is enough interest in the EMu Natural History community to hold the workshop.

The survey should take approximately 5-10 minutes to complete.  If possible, please respond by February 20, 2015.

If you would like to make a presentation, lead a discussion group, or participate in the Showcase session, please contact me at dan.kennedy@axiell.com or call +1-604-877-1960.

Please note - there are several other conferences happening the same week in October.  Already, many hotels are full on at least one day of the week during our conference.  It would be a good idea to take care of your travel arrangements well in advance of October.

Thanks,

Re: 2015 North American EMu User Conference

Hi all,

We've added the option of attending a half day of informal EMu Reports training the same week as the user conference.  Like the conference, these training sessions are free to attend.  Simply email me at dan.kennedy@axiell.com after you have registered for the conference and let me know which session you would like to participate in.

Option 1: Tue, Oct 6.  9am-12pm
Option 2: Tue, Oct 6.  1pm-4pm
Option 3: Wed, Oct 7.  9am-12pm
Option 4: Wed, Oct 7.  1pm-4pm

Space is limited to 8 participants per session.  We would encourage those who are attending the NHSIG on October 7 to register for any of the sessions on October 6.  Those only attending the main conference on October 8-9 are encouraged to register for a session on October 7.

You will need to bring your own laptop, be able to install a training version of the EMu client in the days before training or at the start of training, and will need to have a version of Crystal Reports already installed.

The conference website will be updated to indicate a session has filled up.  Detailed location information and directions will be provided a few weeks prior to the conference.

Re: 2015 North American EMu User Conference

Hi all,

This is the last week to register for the Axiell User Conference at the Penn Museum in Philadelphia, October 8-9 (with iDigBio workshop and Natural History SIG on October 7).

If you are planning to attend, please register on our website at:

https://emu.kesoftware.com/news-and-eve … tober-2015

The website has been updated with the daily schedules.  The detailed agenda will be emailed out prior to the conference to those who have registered, and posted on the conference website.

If your attendance is conditional on travel approval, or some other detail, you can make notes in the comments field on your registration to indicate when you will be able to confirm and what the likelihood of you attending is.

There is still room for a presentation or two, a discussion group, or more informal participation in the System Showcase session.  If you'd like to participate, please contact me for details.

Thanks,
Dan
