Linking Narratives to Accession Lots

Linking Narratives to Accession Lots

In working on standards for the Narratives Module, I found myself desiring a direct link to the Accession Lots Module. Penn Museum uses a slightly customized version of Acc. Lots to track both accessions and deaccessions. Narratives could be useful in tracking relevant correspondence and meeting minutes that document offers, processing, and approval of the acquisition/disposal of objects. It would be more natural to relate those Narrative records directly to the Accession Lots record than to each individual object.

April posted recently about tracking accession correspondence in Narratives. For those museums who tend to acquire objects in lots more often than individually, I think a direct relationship between these two modules could be quite useful.

Does anyone have a configuration of Narratives that links directly to Accession Lots? Would others be interested in having that available?

Best wishes,

Will
