Cataloguing guidelines/manuals/standards

Cataloguing guidelines/manuals/standards

While not strictly an EMu question, I have access to a group of smart people from smart institions so I'm going to use it.

We are currently upddating our in-house cataloguing guidelines, for all our humanities collections. We'll be basing them mainly on CCO, with a bit of lagacy from our 1987 National Art Gallery cataloguing manual. However, one real sticking point across the collections (Art, Photography, NZ history, Pacific and Maori collections) is Title/Object name where CCO contradicts our legacy practices and data. I'm trying to build up a case for whther to change our titling standards or not.

Would anybody be willing to email me (offline if you like) your institutional  cataloguing guidelines, or at least the section on Object name/Titles?

Much appreciated
