NMNH has been dissatisfied with the current EMu Bibliography module for some time. The main difficulty is the complexity of the module, NMNH has started a proposal to rework the current EMu bibliography, with the focus being to have it act mostly as a finding aid. The proposal as presented at the recent North American EMu Users conference is included as an attachment to this post. We hope that those who were not able to attend the conference review the plans here, and see if it is something you are interested in pursuing with us. As this model was designed with a natural history perspective, we’re very interested in feedback from cultural institutions to ensure that this is a viable model for them as well. We’d like to get enough buy in from other institutions that we might be able to submit the change to Axiell as part of development of the core client. Thanks for your time and consideration of this project.
