The University of Manchester library is planning to use the Rights module to help manage image requests and permission requests to cite text from items in our Special Collections.
We would be interested to know if other EMu users are implementing Rights in this way. If so, we would be particularly interested to know how the following data fields are being used:
Right type
Right status
Reproduction reason details
Copyright category
Permission type
If any other users can provide details on how they use this module, I would be very grateful for this information.

Hi James,
I just noticed this post about the Rights module from last year. We are not using the Rights module in exactly the way that you are planning. But on a very small scale so far, we record copyright terms and then attach them to the appropriate Catalog or Accession records. I have attached a document that describes to the user how to enter them.
We may be making some changes to our process and/or terminology since we have had some staff changeover, but the basic functionality would stay the same.
I will be at the UK conference in April if you would like to talk more about it.
